A new survey conducted by Harris Poll for the National Association of Landscape Professionals has conducted amongst over 2,000 adults across the United States. What this survey revealed is that just about 75% of all Americans believe that it is importnat to spend time outside in their yards. What this means is that more and more people will want to have a pool os that they have something to do in their yard!

In the year of 2015, there was a 4% from the previous year in regards to the industry of outdoor entertainment areas. This means that this industry managed to reach a 7 billion dollar value in that year. This very much so includes pools that allow for people to go outside and to swim on a daily basis and people absolutely love to swim.

In the United States, there are currently nearly 10.6 million swimming pools that exist. This number is more than likely going to grow over the next five years because there are more and more people who enjoy swimming now more than ever. So be sure to expect for new pools to pop up all over the place.

Recent research has been done on the types of pools that exist in the United States right now. Just about 51% of all pools are believed to be inground pools and 47% of all pools are above ground pools. This may not seem like a big deal but it is important when attempting to understand how these pools work.

Right now just about 85% of all swimming pools will use chlorine to sanitize the water and to keep things clean. This has been the most popular way to keep these pools clean in the United States without question. Furthermore, just about 12% of all swimming pools are salt water pools which clearly indicates that this is outside of the norm.
