What is tactical gear and how is it made?

These benefits are only continuing to be embraced as time goes by. The Bureau Of Justice Statistics saw over 70% of departments requiring its officers to wear vests at all times. This number is expected to rise alongside the surge of gun crime across the country.

Although any gunshot wound runs the risk of puncturing a vital artery and causing the victim to bleed out, some areas are more prone to complications than others. The chance of dying from a gunshot wound to the torso, for starters, is over three times higher for officers who don’t wear armor vests than those who do. Stomach wounds, due to the high amount of sensitive organs, also have a significant risk rate. Tactical gear is designed to meet any difficulty head-on, either preventing injury outright or buying officers enough time to get the help they need.

Tactical gear today is better than the tactical gear of yesterday. The future could see the make of the tactical plate carrier, and general body armor levels, reaching unprecedented heights.
